FRANZ LISZT INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION - OHIO 2025

Competition dates: October 16-18, 2025
Registration deadline: August 15, 11:59 PM EDTÂ
Location: Timashev Family Music Building, Ohio State University School of MusicÂ

RULESÂ
Age eligibility: 24-40 years old
​
Video Preliminary Round Program: 30-45 minute program of solo repertoire to include solo works or transcriptions of LisztÂ
Live Round Program: 60-minute program of solo repertoire to include 20-30 minutes of solo works or transcriptions of Liszt​

*The live round program can be identical to the video program submitted.Â
*The video you submit for the preliminary round does not need to be recorded in one take.

Application Fee: $90
​

COMPETITION ROUNDSÂ
The 2025 competition consists of three rounds:

Preliminary round based on submitted video linksÂ
Semifinal Live Round in Ohio (no more than 12 semifinalists)
Final Live Round in Ohio (6 finalists)

PRIZES
First Prize: $2,000, medal
Second Prize: $1,000, medal
Third Prize: $500, medal    Â
