Edward Rath Receives Eisenstadt Honor

Life Members Edward and Lois Rath spent two weeks in Austria in August 2025. One of the highlights of the trip came when Ed was awarded the city of Eisenstadt's "Grand Joseph Haydn Gold Medallion" at a ceremony in the Haydnsaal of Schloss Esterhazy. Rath was the Administrative Director of the Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt for 22 years, and the award was presented at a concert commemorating the 50th anniversary of the festival. Eisenstadt is located a short distance north of Raiding, the birthplace of Franz Liszt, and Liszt's father was employed by the Esterhazy family.
