All performed a work of their own choice by Liszt, as well as a mixed program. There was a special Schubert prize for the best performance of a work by Schubert. This was a great opportunity to hear some of Liszt's piano duo transcriptions. Liszt arrangements or works performed over the course of the competition included Reminiscences de Don Juan, Reminiscences de Norma, Mephisto Waltz, Hunnenschlacht, Concerto Pathetique, Les Preludes, Les jeux d'eau a la Villa d'Este, Rakoczy March, La Sonnambula Fantasy, and Mazeppa.
