Liszt Sonata in B Minor Transcribed for Solo Violin -
You Tube Performance
The incomparable Liszt Sonata in B Minor, originally for solo piano, exists in
versions for two pianos (Saint-Saëns) and orchestra (arranged by the Hungarian pedagogue/
composer/pianist Leó Weiner). Now you can hear and see the
solo violin version! The work
as transcribed by Noam Sivan is performed by Giora Schmidt
at the 2011 Ravinia Festival. Our thanks to ALS Board member Gila Goldstein for providing
this information!
